The Fulham Supporters’ Trust would like to send our support to the family and friends of Rodrigo Muniz following the sentencing of a man this afternoon for racially abusing the Fulham forward. Rodrigo’s achievements since joining Fulham Football Club should be celebrated rather than denigrated.

There is no place for discrimination in sport or society. The Trust would like to thank Fulham Football Club’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion team, the Premier League, UK Football Policing Unit, Cumbria Police and the Metropolitan Police for their efforts in ensuring the perpetrator of this crime will now face the consequences of their actions.

The Trust are proud of our work on equality, diversity and inclusion over the past two decades and will continue to work with Fulham Football Club to make sure that the beautiful game remains welcoming and accessible to all.
