Notes from December meeting with Fulham FC
| On Wednesday 10th December 2025 at 13.30, the Fulham Supporters’ Trust (FST) met with Fulham FC via video conference. The Club was represented by: Alistair Mackintosh (Chief Executive, AM) David Daly (Non-Executive Director, DD) Darren Preston (Chief Operating Officer, DP) Carmelo Mifsud (Communications Director, CM) Jack Burrows, Marketing Director (JB) Jamie Nicholson (Head of Supporter Services, JN) Jane Woods (Head of Ticketing, JW) Glen Sutton (Fulham Pier, GS) The FST was represented by:Simon Duke (Chair, SD)Roger Southgate (Board Member, RS)Steve Nicholson (Secretary, SN) HOW IT WORKS At our regular monthly meetings, Trust board members ask questions relating to as many topics as possible in the time available, based on responses from members to the advance notification of the meeting and our own observations from interacting with the wider supporter base. The Club then gives its position, which is discussed. These notes are therefore a statement of both points of view. The Trust continues to press both the Board’s and its members’ view at these meeting’s. Often members ask similar questions, and, in these cases, we try to summarise, provide the Club with feedback and gain as much useful information as possible in the time available. We also prioritise new, time-critical and member raised topics, whilst also seeking updates on longer running issues. You can access notes of all previous meetings on our website, including the most recent information on key topics not covered at this meeting. SD opened the meeting by introducing our new board member Roger Southgate and confirming that he personally had also been re-elected and will continue as Chair of the Trust. SD went on to say how pleased he had been with the past year and felt that the relationship between the FST and the club had improved and was hoping the Trust were now more able to add value to discussions. He felt that the change in meeting structures had been positive and allowed the Trust to gain a greater understanding of the day to day running of the club. SD particularly wanted to thank JW in the ticket office as it was felt that the improvement in timing of away ticket sales and the publication of how loyalty points would be used helped supporters trying to organise away travel. He also highlighted the quick response and guidance given for the Burnley digital tickets, ensuring that supporters had access to the correct tickets. SD also thanked Nicola Walworth for her work to try and eradicate touts from gaining access to match tickets allowing away fans to populate home areas. SD recognised this as a Premier League issue and not just one at Fulham and said it would be good communications if the club were to indicate how successful they had been. JN said they are working on a way to do this. SN also praised the catering staff in the HE and the positive experience they provided for supporters. AM responded to thank the Trust for their work and to congratulate Simon and Roger on their elections. SD then moved on to the questions raised by the Trust after the members survey. JN responded for the club to say that overall, they were pleased with ticket sales and will monitor the sales and prices as the season progresses. They were not at present looking to offer reduced price tickets to members. The club do offer tickets to the Foundation and the local community. The club would be interested in any ideas the Trust have for selling family tickets, as this is always the very last area of the ground to sell out on match day. SD suggested that opening the ticket exchange earlier would help to improve the number of seats available at lower prices, and waiting for the Riverside to sell out meant some seats in lower priced areas were left empty. JB responded to this by saying that for the first time the ticket exchange was opened on the day of a game, against Palace, and some tickets were sold. The club felt it was the right way to approach this issue as it was important to sell out all tickets prior to opening the exchange. The issue of facilities was also raised and the club said they were looking into the feasibility of improvements to facilities throughout the stadium. No details are available at this time. The next topic raised from the survey results was around communication by the club. It was decided that rather than address this large topic at this meeting it would be served better in a monthly meeting with early February put forward as a date. The club and the Trust agreed that this was probably best covered in a longer meeting. SN raised the upgrading of season tickets, usually junior to senior, and the cost of this upgrade. It was confirmed that the person upgrading their ticket would receive1/19th of the season ticket cost and this was then taken off the match day cost of the seat upgrade. SD said that ticketing issues raised with the Trust will be shared with the Fan Advisory Board with a request they be included in any pricing discussions for 2026/7. SD then asked how the club felt the Riverside/Fulham Pier was progressing and were they happy with the first six months of almost full operation (Hotel & Spa excluded). AM said they were very happy, and it was exceeding expectations. The matchday hospitality was going very well and Fulham Pier outside match days was getting fantastic reviews. It is seen as one of the best non-matchday stands in the world. The club are very pleased with success of the mixed food markets, conferencing and restaurants. Brasserie Constance is fully booked out on most weekends. The Orange Box is very busy offering numerous events. The Lighthouse Social has also been successful and is helping to introduce new people to the football club. The stand is used by the local community for many different events. The Pier has also provided 250 sustainable new jobs. The club can also confirm that The Pier will appear in next year’s Michelin Guide in some form or other. SD asked if the success of the Pier would improve the financial deficit and AM confirmed that was the case and it would help towards sustaining the club’s future and keeping Fulham playing football at the Cottage. SD asked for an update on how the revised MoU was progressing and JN confirmed it was being looked at presently and will be ready to agree & sign shortly. SD asked about this season’s Celebration Day and it is pencilled in for a home game in February 2026; the club are just awaiting fixture confirmations. The meeting closed at 2:12pm |
