Board election 2025 – update

Independent Scruitineer Marisa Cardoni’s report presented to our AGM on 20 November announced the need for a ballot following the receipt of three valid nominations for two board positions. The ballot commenced on 22 November as planned.

The Trust Board subsequently received an update from Marisa informing us that one candidate had withdrawn their nomination during the ballotting period. As this left only two candidates for the two available positions on the board, Marisa recommended that the ongoing ballot be halted and that the two remaining candidates be elected for terms of three years.

The Trust Board supported this recommendation, the online election was stopped on 28 November and the electorate was informed. You can read the full text of the Independent Scrutineer report here and also, as required by our election policy, the statements of each of the successful candidates are now available to view here.

We are therefore very pleased to welcome Roger Southgate to the board alongside Simon Duke who has been re-elected and express our grateful thanks to Gavin Megaw who stood down at this election after five years of excellent service.

Finally, we would like to thank Marisa for overseeing an efficient election process for us again this year and to all members who participated.
